I Want A Country is an experimental theater piece set on the watery edge of a Fake Country. The play is performed by a chorus who wishes to exit the place and the play, and are trapped within it.
The original text has no character designation or action. We pulled meaning from the text through experimenting with which lines from inside the mass of text could combine to create individual narrative, and devised the action. We worked with translations and played with what can be found in spaces of miscommunication.
