Athena was born and raised in Lenapehoking, New York City, and now lives and works in Athens, Greece.
They are currently performing in You, Animal Machine / Εσύ, η ζωώδης μηχανή with Nostalghia Theater Company in the role of the Leopard Girl’s Soul. In 2025, they are also developing and directing Psychic Force at Rabbithole Theater.
Zeros’ work revolves around intergenerational stories, queer unravellings of narratives, and the myth of state/state of myth.
Their pieces and performances have appeared in Rabbithole Theater, Icebox Project Space, Flux Laboratory Athens, IndieFest, Allied Media Conference, Explosions from the Other Cannon, the Oaxaca Film Festival, Leeds Theater, Quadrennial Leap Year Festival, Gala Magazine, The Indy, Okay Project Space, Mandrogas Performance Journal, the edges of the ocean, and elsewhere.
Athena graduated from the Theater and Performance Studies department at Brown University with the direction of I Want A Country, a play with no characters.
They studied documentary theater and tragic embodiment with Attis Theater and DAH Teatar, and previously worked and trained in flying trapeze at Trapeze School New York and Circus Warehouse. They are grateful to their studies in herbalism and somatics for continued studies of the layers of the body and the aliveness of time.
